Secklow Gate is a landmark residential development in the heart of Milton Keynes, comprising four blocks and 329 Private Rental Sector (PRS) Apartments. Delivered by Galliford Try, the scheme was designed to provide high-quality, modern living spaces while incorporating Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to improve build efficiency and sustainability. Phoenix Brickwork and BMH Scaffolding were appointed to deliver the full brickwork and scaffolding packages, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of this large-scale scheme.

The brickwork pacakage included the complete external façade across all blocks, which ranged from three to eleven storeys. We are particularly proud of the distinctive brickwork on this project, which features a unique combination of decorative 'Honeycomb' patterns and 'Protruding Headers.' These design elements require a high degree of precision and skill, showcasing the quality our team brings to every build. This not only elevates the visual appeal of the development but also reflects our commitment to delivering technically demanding masonry with confidence. 

In addition to the façade, BMH Scaffolding provided all access through a full scaffolding package, designed to support every phase of construction while minimising disruption to the surrounding area. Working within tight site constraints in an active city-centre location, our team delivered safe and reliable scaffolding that allowed multiple trades to operate efficiently alongside the prefabricated elements of the build. Coordination was key to ensuring smooth integration with all contractors on site.

Our efforts were formally recognised by Galliford Try, who awarded Phoenix Brickwork 'Sub-Contractor of the Year' for the East Midlands region of the orders over £2m category.  This achievement reflect the exceptional quality, reliability and craftmanship we bring to every project. It stands as a testament to the professionalism of our on-site teams who consistently deliver to the highest standards.
