We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our brickwork and scaffolding works at Kingsway Hospital, Derby, a landmark project forming part of the £150 million Make Room For Dignity programme by Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
Awarded to us alongside our brickwork at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, this project was delivered on behalf of IHP (Integrated Health Projects) — a joint venture between Vinci and Sir Robert McAlpine.
This new 54-bed mental health facility for Adult Acute Care features:
14-bed psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) All single, en-suite rooms – replacing outdated dormitory accommodation Green spaces, therapy rooms & temperature-controlled environments Modern resources: therapy suites, activity kitchens, fitness & arts rooms Sky garden with carefully selected white brick detailing A traditional clay brick façade with striking soldier courses & projecting header details, bringing both character and quality to the buildingLocated on a specialist mental health site, the facility will provide safer, more dignified, and better-supported care for the community.
