Great suggestion from Neil Finch

Phoenix are delighted to announce that Neil Finch, who is a regular contributor to the weekly Toolbox Talk Feedback/ Suggestions sessions, has been awarded a £50 Amazon voucher.  We really value all the feedback we receive as it helps us to better understand what our valued workforce really need and want from us as a Company.

Neil’s suggestion was that he would like to train as a mental health first aider and felt it was important to encourage open communication about feelings and mental health on site.

As you know, we take the mental health of our entire workforce very seriously and are supporters of the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

We have discussed this at management level and have decided that it is such a good idea that we would like it to become a mandatory requirement for any Phoenix Foreman and Contracts Manager to hold this qualification.  It is a 2-day course which will, of course, be fully funded by Phoenix Brickwork.  All site and contract managers will be contacted in due course by our training team and booked on to the course at a time which suits them and site constraints.

Well done Neil – your voucher is in the post – keep those suggestions coming in!
